When the February issue of Vogue came in the mail last week I instantly fell in love with its cover of country singer Taylor Swift in a very bohemian look. It seems like she has gone and become my hair twin these days! I rarely post editorials but I just had to post these gorgeous photos taken by Mario Testino today. The whole vibe and styling feels very little like Vogue US… maybe that’s what I like about it. The Rodarte dress on the photo above is just breathtaking, don’t you think?

I’m starting to be pretty excited for fall and what to wear, which new things to get and what old things to bring out again. You kind of know you’re done with summer when you can’t stand the sight of a pair of cut offs paired with a tank top anymore. That is exactly what has happened to me now. I’m feeling quite uninspired as it is still around 85F/30C here so instead I’m just planning what to wear when the temperature drops. This gorgeous editorial from the september issue of Vogue Paris is serving as great inspiration of my fall look. Anja Rubik is sporting some really great everyday hippie looks in this spread and I especially love the hair and make up. (Also I would like to move into the house it’s shot in!!)

I’m in a big search right now for the perfect coat. I want a real statement coat, in any color but black. Structured and thick, kind of like this or this one. That’s on the top of my fall wish list right now. What are you guys looking forward to wearing this fall?

I just have to share these amazing shots from Marie Claire Italia. I love the whole Frida Kahlo goes 90′s vibe and I can’t tell you just how much I’d love to try out this hair do. Although I think it would be kind of hard to pull off. But some colorful bands braided into the hair… that might be the right end to start.

Right now I’m guessing that most of my Swedish readers are in full preparation for one of the biggest celebrations of the year: Midsommar! Most likely, you’re not even in front of your computers reading this but on the countryside without wi-fi! But over here I couldn’t feel more disconnected from the festivities. When I earlier this week asked a fellow Swede at my gym what her plans were for Midsommar she responded: Midsommar, when is that? So as you can imagine this is a quite regular weekend for me.

But I dug out some pictures in my inspiration folder which are from Vogue Italia but obviously shot in Sweden. What I like about these photos is that they’re not depicting an idyllic setting, bathing in sunshine, but a more realistic picture of this occasion. Sweden is cold, even in the summer and most of my Midommar’s has been cloudy or even rainy, it’s a part of it I think! Like any holiday the expectations are sky high (I even herd the word “Midsommarzillas” for the first time today!) and it’s easy to get disappointed when things (weather) don’t turn out as expected. So I just want to say that please enjoy tomorrow, take it easy on the snaps and adorn your hair with flowers!

I love when editorials are bordering to a real life story. Like in this case of Edie Campbell in a story called Edie’s World from Tank Magazine (summer 2011). Here’s a girl who seems to have a really great style! I love the mix of retro and new. And now that my fringe has finally grown out again I instantly feel like chopping it off again after seeing this! I just love her hair! Why is it always like that? The grass is always greener on the other side, right?

When I saw this editorial from Tar Magazine with Belgian model Hannelore Knuts I was spellbound! Not only is the styling glamorous yet bohemian in a very gypset mix, but the location of her beautiful home left me in awe! Who lives in a place like this? It is such an interesting mix of heavy oriental patterns, jewel colors and playful medieval touches… one of a kind, simply! So, I just had to blog it today to see what you think about this. What do you say, isn’t this just magical?

This summery, almost all white, safari-inspired editorial was featured in Elle Norway recently. Not only do I adore the location (I also want to hang out with lions!) but the styling is so interesting. It is an odd mix of glamour, hippie and native american all blended together. But it works somehow! I also want that tan that she has. In fact I’m covered in self tanning lotion as we speak : ) Lastly, how perfect isn’t that Mulberry bag she’s carrying? I’ve been searching for it since I saw these shots. Could it be this one? Major swoon!!

So, I have just landed in San Francisco a few hours ago and the rain has been pouring down non stop! What a welcome to the city!! They say it’s a huge storm coming… So as we speak I have positioned myself in a cozy café close to our hotel with my laptop and a cocktail to catch up on some writing. I though I would also post this editorial that has been hiding in my inspiration folder now for a bit. It is about everything I wish for in the summer, style wise!

The photography really stunning as it captures those melancholic, or thoughtful perhaps, moments… Like the last days of summer, those gorgeous warm days when everything is perfect, expect the knowledge of that tomorrow it might all be gone. That feeling is what I’m getting from this editorial and that makes me almost get goosebumps!

I thought I would share some more summer inspiration today in the form of this editorial called Summer of Love. I would really kill for finding a pair of knitted leggings like those on the top image – they might even inspire me to take up knitting (ha ha!). These photos are all packed with inspirational details )the necklace on pic #3!!!!) and I can’t stop looking at them and thinking that my wardrobe has way too few maxi dresses. I wouldn’t mind to spending the entire summer in a long sleeved maxi dress just like the one in pic #5!

Right now I’m in the middle of making plans for the summer, which is always exciting! I have not been to Sweden since last August and I’m really starting to miss it. Even though I speak with my family and friends relatively often, it’s not the very same thing as hanging out IRL. That’s why I’m so happy that I have decided to go for a whole month this year, to have enough time to catch up with everyone! So many things has happened the last eight months, four of my friends and cousins has become mothers and my little niece is about to turn two!

I’m also planning a trip to Basque Country, Spain in May to attend the wedding of my husband’s cousin, which I’m so much looking forward to.  The weddings in Spain are just so over the top! Here around home I’m dying to go back to Cape May, the idyllic beach town just 1.5 h drive from Philadelphia for a dose of beach and sun. It’s just a so much nicer option than going to N.Y.C for a weekend, which is so hot and crowded that time of year.

Simply – I can’t wait for summer to start! Have you started making plans for the summer yet? Or are you one of those spontaneous people (that I will never be no matter how hard I try)?
