About Styleabaad

What does Styleabad really mean? It’s a mix of the English word style and the Hindi suffix abaad meaning abode or home. It is very common for Indian city names to end with abaad. So Styleabaad literally means: the home of style, or the city of style.

This is a place to get inspired to be creative with your personal style. It’s where I blog about everything from Indian fashion designers, to vintage finds in New York and the latest couture shows in Paris. I’m a Swedish writer and freelance stylist who lives in Philadelphia, U.S. and who loves to travel in India and Asia.

Hi, glad you like it! It's actually an old light blue “pashmina” shawl from India that I just tied around my head. Start at the back of your head, twist it in the front and tie it again at the back! Thanks for stopping by! xo
