We’re back home now after a few magical days in Paris, we’ve bid our goodbyes to 2011 and welcomed the new year with excitement in this city of lights. I’ve fallen in love even more with Paris than before and after countless efforts to figure out exactly why I think I have it – Paris is just so beautiful regardless of season and weather. I know of no other city that has that magical way of seducing me. We had a few sunny days but mostly it was cloudy and drizzling and the wind was chilly. Still the old houses along the Seine looked like a painting or a postcard.
We spent our days moving from terrace to terrace and as most of them were covered and heated we could enjoy the view of the busy streets while having our coffee or lunch regardless of the weather. We of course did some shopping and saw a few sights (like the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame) but we also made sure to have many lazy mornings in bed, eating croissants from heaven (well actually from the Boulangerie next door).
