Ever since the end of summer, when I cleaned out my closet and realized I only own two skirts, I’ve been looking for a classic 1970′s A-line skirt in either denim, velvet or corduroy. This type of skirt is just so perfect for chilly fall days as the material is a bit thicker and it’s easily paired with knee socks or tights. So imagine my excitement when I found this brown corduroy a-line skirt at Atlantis Attic last Thursday!
On Sunday afternoon when we were back in Philadelphia again after our NYC stay I wore it for the first time as we headed out in the sunshine to have a coffee in a park. I kind of felt like I was channeling Jane Birkin as I kept the styling really simple by just adding a cashmere sweater and my vintage woven basket handbag. Sunday outfits should never be more complicated than that!
I’m Wearing:
1970′s Corduroy skirt - Vintage (Atlantis Attic, Brooklyn)
Cable knitted cashmere sweater - J.Crew
