Back to the city

by Elsa Termenon on October 18, 2011

It’s only been a month since the last time but it’s time for me again to take a big bite out of the big apple. You all know by now that I need my monthly Manhattan fix! I’m leaving tomorrow (Wednesday) morning already and staying until Saturday night. I’m gonna be on my own until Thursday night when my husband is flying in from Pheonix to join me. I’m actually looking forward to being on my own for a bit this time, because it will leave me time to visit some vintage shops I’ve not had time to visit the last few visits.

First of all I’m planing on finally visit Atlantic’s Attic, a vintage store that one of my favorite bloggers Tuva Minna Linn has described as one of her top 3 vintage stores in the world! Can you understand my excitement? I can’t believe I’ve been so many times to Williamsburg and not coming to that shop! I also want to discover some other new shops this time, in Williamsburg and on Manhattan. Usually I don’t have much time in the city so I go straight to my favorite spots, that’s all good of course but I also feel like it would be fun to add some new favorites to my list.

If you have any suggestions of boutiques and vintage shops or even restaurants and bars I’d love know about them!

I’ll still have quite a few posts coming up on the blog this week but don’t forget to follow me on Twitter or Instagram (I’m Styleabaad there) to follow my city adventures!

Photos: Last time I was in New York my brother Jonas shot these photos of me in a 70′s vintage dress for this blog post.

Men vad härligt, hoppas att Atlantic’s Attic levererar.  Vill minnas att de hade mil vis med 70-tals klänningar.

so tips! spotted pig, mercer kitchen, DBGB, minetta tavern (very crowed, even a reservations does not give you any guarantees)!
we will be staying at the greenwich hotel, they have a fabulous restaurant locanda verde too but i haven’t tried it out yet. blaue gans.

I always have wanted to go to Jeffreys, love the anna sui store and i hate Kirna zabete. no pictures allowed and they hate bloggers except when you are the man repeller! they have gorgeous european collections but of course way more expensive! And i always wanted to go to Bess in Soho!

Thanks girl! I’m gonna try out a few of these places! My husband actually enjoys going shopping, but to a certain extent – after 2 hours in a vintage store he is fed up – so I can really recommend roaming around a day on your own in the city! :)

Oh you’re coming here while I’m on my way out of town.  Have a fabulous time.  You know all of the great places….Top of the Standard being my fave :)   Love the Mondrian Soho also.  Oh and have you ever been to Gemma?  It’s my favorite Italian restaurant in the Bowery Hotel.  I’ve been going for years and it never disappoints.

Oh and if you like fragrance you should go to the Sephora Sensorium that’s going on right now.  I got a sneak peak of it a few weeks ago and it’s incredible.  Makes you look at fragrance in a whole new light.  It’s on 14th between 9th & 10th :)
