On Saturday morning we woke up feeling well rested but starving. We headed out in the sunshine to have some breakfast at The Standard Grill while reading the newspaper and just enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. Notice the cute salt and pepper shakers in form of kissing puppies next to my juice! So cute!
Is there anything better than to get up early enough to have time to read to newspaper for hours?
After breakfast we took a cab down to Soho. This is also a neighborhood that I love, there are so many small boutiques and coffee shops that can keep me busy for days. I pretty much always end up going to the same places like Café Café on Broome / Green St.
I was wearing a transparent vintage blouse and my Mulberry Alexa…
… Urban Outfitters black denim shorts and tank and Jeffrey Campbell Cayman sandals.
I did some shopping in here… I need to show you soon! Something in lavender that is simply gorgeous!
Something from the Barneys sale had to come with me home! Something for this fall (or cold evenings in Sweden).
Then we went back to Meatpacking and checked in at the Soho House where we’d be staying the rest of the weekend. I fell in love with this place two years ago when we got engaged here, as it doesn’t at all feel like a hotel. It’s more like staying at a really cool friends home.
We stayed the whole afternoon at the stunning roof top terrace, lounging by the swimming pool and having strawberry cocktails. Unfortunately you’re not allowed to take any pictures up there but you can see some photos here if you’re curious!
At 8 o clock we got into a cab with direction East Village. I was wearing this vintage paisley dress.
We had dinner at this cozy place.
The atmosphere was great but the food left much to wish for. My veggie burger was a sad thing : (
After dinner we went back to Meatpacking…
…and enjoyed the cocktails and views from the Soho house roof top the rest of the evening. Such a brilliant day and night!
