Friday Afternoon in New York

by Elsa Termenon on July 6, 2011

After this brilliant morning we walked south from Meatpacking District and ended up in West Village which might be my favorite area on Manhattan.

If I ever will live in this city I wish that it will be right here, on one of the small tree lined streets with beautiful old houses.

You can meet some fun creatures too!

At Bleecker Street we popped into some shops…

I did some gift shopping for my trip to Sweden.

Then as usual we had to stop for a coffee and a fresh mint lemonade at Café Angelique at Bleecker.

I was wearing this color!

To the right you can see the Swedish candy shop that just recently opened here, it’s called Sockerbit.

After our small shopping spree we headed back to Meatpacking.

We sat down outside The Standard for an ice cream.

Then we relaxed for a bit before it was time to get ready for the night.

The roof top at The Standard is the best place to have a couple of drinks and listen to some great music. The view is not bad either ; )

We headed downstairs for a great dinner at The Standard grill we we got hungry and then we went right back up again to the roof top and spent the rest of our evening there. Perfect Friday in other words!

bleecker street is of course one of my favorite streets and area! i love the west village because the vibe is insane! and of course one of my favorite restaurants is located in the west village! although the last time we had a very rude bartender. my hubby doesn’t like the spotted pig that much, you have to sit on very small stools and for a man that is not the most ideal chair in the world. oooh what is in that pretty white bag???

It’s impossible to fall in love with this area I believe! The pretty white bag is actually from “Little Marc Jacobs” and filled with goodies for all of my baby friends in Sweden ;) Perhaps the most stylish children’s boutique in the world!

Kram
