My astrologer in India told me that I needed to wear more red, it was apparently the best color for my personality and I can’t disagree – red has always been one of my favorite colors. It makes me happy! So with that in mind I wore this red vintage dress on Saturday when we were having brunch at a Cuban place and running some errands around town. I got this silk dress last spring and wore it for brunch the day after our wedding and a few times on our honeymoon. It is such a nice lightweight quality and the most intense shade of red and I’ve been looking forward to wearing it again after a long winter.
I love my 60′s and 70′s dresses to death but I can’t resist a sweet dress that flirts with the 50′s. This one is from one of my favorite vintage stores in Williamsburg, New York – Beacon’s Closet and it barely cost me anything.
Do you wear a lot of red? Is it only me or do you have to be in a certain mood to pull a red dress out of the closet?
My astrologer was right, I feel very good wearing red ; )
This hat will always be my favorite. I have worn it so much but I love it only more.
The polish is Essie’s Licorice.
This outfit makes me feel like a mash up between a character in a Godfather movie and a 1950′s housewife. Not necessarily a bad thing!
I’m wearing: Vintage red silk dress from Beacon’s Closet (Williamsburg, NY) and Vintage belt, Ray Ban Wayfarers
Cub Monaco felt fedora and Sam Edelman Cayman Faux python sandals.
