Dressing Room Make Over

by Elsa Termenon on June 8, 2011

Yesterday’s post about excessive shopping and our patterns of consumption made me continue to think about the subject. I though about how I could keep my habits under control and not feel like I want to run out and get things new new new, all the time. I easily get bored with what I’m wearing and how I’m wearing it, so the key for me is to change the styling to make the look fresh, over and over again. To be able to do that I need to know what’s in my wardrobe, which accessories I have to play with. That’s step one. If you have no overview of your stuff, how are you gonna get dressed in the morning?

Now let me tell you about our dressing room! No one was happier than me, when we moved into a house that was slightly bigger than we needed and could turn one of the small bedrooms into a dressing room for us both. Happiness!! BUT. The sad truth is that since everything in this house has taken so much longer than expected to fix up, this little room is still a mess! Now I’m in a huge need of doing a dressing room make over! I need shelves for handbags, hooks for belts, a dresser for t-shirts and undies and something that can display a ton of jewelry and accessories! This will be a big project – but I’m sure it will be so much more fun to getting dressed when seeing all the options clearly!

I will blog the process, of course… here are some before pictures! It’s messy, I know, but that’s why they’re called before pictures ; )

It has potential doesn’t it?

Wow! Needless to say, I’m jealous and amazed! I can see how this will soon become a perfect dressing room. As for myself, I’d really need something like that wooden box of yours for my jewelry!.
