In October 2005 I went to India for the 6th time in my life. I was going to spend more than two months in Mumbai, but started the trip in the north by going to one of my favorite cities in India – Amritsar (in Punjab).
In Amritsar you have to visit the Golden Temple, this was my second time here, and it was even more incredible this time. The beauty and serenity of this place is hard to explain, it is the most sacred place for the Sikhs. Also, we always meet such nice people here!
After 15 hours on a train we arrived in busy busy Mumbai – also one of my favorite cities in India. Traffic is crazy but the mix of people – and the cultural mix of north and south India is just unbeatable.
We rented an apartment in the suburbs, next to the studios, and quickly felt like real Bombayites!
We worked in the film industry, never knowing what each day would look. Here we have danced for hours as you can see!
We wore more colors at the same time than we ever thought possible. Here at Juhu beach.

It was such an amazing trip where we even ended up staying over Christmas, plus taking a small vacay in Goa. I have been fortunate enough to go to India almost every year since I was 16 and I truly hope I can keep that tradition alive. Especially now that one of my closest friends recently moved there with her husband. Every day I’m not in India is a day where I miss it! A passionate relationship we have indeed!
