Me back in 2005.
I’ve always had hair that grows like weed and I don’t get split ends very easily. I have my grannie to thank for those hair genes I think! However, I do believe that it to some extent has to do with the fact that I normally stay away from curling irons, flattening irons and even hair dryers. I also cut my hair regularly (4 times per year), even if it’s only half an inch or so. It keeps it fresh.
I have always used a lot of oil-packs for my hair. With inspiration from India I used to put coconut oil in my hair and let it be over night and then wash it in the morning. Nowadays I use, instead of the coconut oil, Argan Oil also known as Moroccan Oil. It is extremely good for the hair and leaves it all shiny and fresh. I try to limit my hair washing to three times per week and I use Redken Blonde Glam schampoo and Redken Clear Moist Conditioner. I generally stay away from all kinds of products. Well sometimes I use the Bumble & Bumble Styling Lotion to protect it if I’m using a hair dryer.
I have always had kind of long hair although now it’s growing out (again!) and I don’t really see that I would ever dare to chop it off! These pictures above are taken in Stockholm by my brother back in 2005.
Ps. Below is a small video on how it looked around a year ago when I got my hair cut at the Bumble & Bumble Salon in New York!
