This is a photograph my brother Jonas took in our hometown Kalmar, Sweden, when I was around 20 years old. The region is known for its deep dark forests and here I am posing in a vintage paisley dress (from UFF) in front of rows of logs ready to be shipped off from the dock. The picture doesn’t show – but I’m wearing woolen socks and clogs, which is also quite typical for the region. When I grew up I spend at least half the year wearing clogs. Everyone did. Not the kind on the picture below though, the more normal ones.
